They are both just about bench copies of original Hawken rifles. The pistol grip version was not as common, no. The second rifle's rear sight is certainly not normal, either, however that is the same sight as was on the original. It did make an interesting sight when used as an aperture sight for shooting to 200yards.
That is Taylor's favourite long range rifle. It is almost as accurate as my 14 bore.

BTW - the thread on the lolipop sight is 80 tpi.

Just as the original sight above it, the lolipop sight is adjustable for both elevation and windage.
