Ash - for a "cheap" ML, there are no better than the Lyman GPR. The(Great Plains Rifle) has a slower, round ball twist. the GPH, Great Plains Hunter, has a faster, 28" (or 32") twist for shooting conicals.

The .54 calibre version would be the best if contemplating large game. In that, I would include Sambar and Red Deer Stags. Out to 150yards, the round ball will generally kill more quickly than a concial.
