Heres a few pics from past hunts with the black powder. I use CVA 50 cal and Chris uses a perdinsoli 50 cal. I run minnies thru mine after trying .490 ball . Shot several pigs with the balls and they worked but lacked penetration. Went with minis at 385 and 400 grains. These shoot very accurate and are devastating on pigs. Im using 2 FF at 76 grains.
Chris has had a battle getting his to shoot and has settled on .490 ball 180's with a thin patch.
Boars are a lot of fun with these loads. Hit properly it is spectacular to see the heavy pills at moderate speeds flatten them. Although slow to reload its still great fun. Great fun to plink with around camp. Cheers Mick
