Casting .570's, Lyman mould and some 15 bore balls with a Tanner moul both pure lead.
The .570's will always have a sprue cuttoff, while those from the Tanner moulds will have the large sprue snipped off and filed with a swipe of a rasp to a perfectly round ball. That way, it doesn't matter which way it goes in.
