That's too bad, Tom. I sure like the wide open V sights, but they are becoming more diffcult to see year by year.

This is just a tiny bead, yet it shows up well in the bush as-on my couch back. For apure hunting sight for this 14 bore rifle, I'd have a full .10" or even .125" (1/8"). the wide V seems to work longer (eyesight-wise) than a narrow V or U sight with blade. The top of the rear sigth becomes very blurred and the sight blade is also blurred. There tops become indistinct and elevation impact suffers. With a wide V, these problems largely disappear and the bead, while it might be a bit fuzzy, the ball hits in the middle of the fuzzy bead - a rather exact point of impact, not a by-chance impact.
