Dear Mike and Steve,

I learned the hard way that Joy for Dishes will remove bluing if the revolver is left to soak. It leaves a nice "antique" patina. I disassemble revolvers, because of all the residue that gets inside. After the gun is completely clean and dry, wipe everything with Eezox for excellent rust prevention. Swab the bore and cylinders before loading.
