As I understand it, the "H" designation indicated "half stock" and the "F" "full stock". I own two of each, two with the integral bases and two without. My only complaint is that the bolt handle, like that of the original commercial Mausers with "butterknife" bolt handles, is not really altered enough to allow for low scope mounting. I have to use Warne "high" rings to get the scope to clear the bolt handle, which is in keeping with the European idea of using "see through" mounts, allowing the iron sights to be used as primary sighting devices and the scope as secondary. The ZG47 and the subsequent ZKK 600-1-2 models changed that and allowed for truly low mounted scopes. |
