I too, like "working" rifles, and not too much engraving, if any. I think some of the most beautiful "to my eyes" anyway, rifles, are those with no engraving whatsoever, only with the basics for DGR's. They wear better, and once they lose a little blueing, they have just as much "class" as any one of these highly adorned models do. That said, IF, and a big IF, I had the chance to own this rifle, I WOULD use it frequently, instead of safeguarding it. Life is short, and there is only one life guaranteed to us, so why not? You can't take these things with you when you die, or so they say. But, again, I'd just as soon have a work gun any day. On another note that caught me in the description: .500 jeffery-most powerful bolt action? hehe-thats funny.
