these particular rifles were made for elephant control,they are a model called [game ranger]they are definetly not as reliable as other westleys with the clips, typical pre war ones ,although i have seen some built on oberndorfs without the clips ,simon clode told me himself if you buy one get it with the clips ,[the clips hold the cartridge in place while loading]
jack lott did an article on these rifles in i think the 84 gun digest read the article before you go any further although it does look like a clean gun and kevin is a good guy.....paul
