The name sounds familiar to me but I can't place it. Sounds like a neat rifle. Is the bolt knob round or pear shaped? What's the floor plate like? Hinged? Lever? Locking screw on the forward bolt? The wood is probably walnut. The early German makers used plain walnut on standard guns and didn't color it when finishing so it comes out more orange. Its probably strong with good grain flow, though. What type of stock does it have? Slim, little German carbine style (a B Model Mauser) or more English/American (A Model Mauser). Pics? |
