Re: Heym Express Rifle

hi john-
just want to add i have just taken posession of a .505 gibbs heym express for my guiding work in the bush.
the fit and finish is superb. no frills, just solid , functional excellence. the express sights come right up into the aim and are clear and easy top read in low light. and although the rifle is stout the barrel weight and balance are perfect. most importantly and some thing that you just cant get from an out of the box bruno- it feeds perfectly and the massive claw extractor functions like a dream. you will not have to be running of to your local riflemaker to make this baby feed!
i have given it a good work out and so far so good. for me the heym is my life insurance. i plan to test it further in both the high arctic and african bush over the coming months.

as to heym them selves i visited the factory in december. each element of the rifles creation process is overseen by an expert in much the same way the old english rifles were assembled and finish, right down to the regulation and stockist.

you cant go wrong with a heym express.

my best olly
