Correct Geronimo, the first is definitely a Mannlicher Schoenauer. It must be bigger than it looks to accommodate the 9.3 cartridge, and I've never seen one stamped 'Deutsche-Werke Mauser'. Are you sure that's the right photo?

The second one looks a bit short for a standard 98, but I guess if its chambered for the 7x57 it is unlikely to be a Kurz. Need to measure the length to be sure.
