All that 500grains said is true about the conversion. I've done a couple and they take some work but they do result in a sleek Lott package.

Another option for us "lefties" is the Montana 99, but they're getting difficult to get and although I've not seen it, several have reported quality problems with the actions they've gotten. Their long-action should easily fit the LOTT and you can use Blackburn bottom metal to get the correct geometry. I have a "99" that when I get the time will be either a 404 or a 416 Remington. I've had a drop-box triggergurad on order with Blackburn for just shy of a year and that's one reason it's not finished yet.
