The diameter of the bolt for both standard and magnum length mausers was the same, but sadly not the length, the length of the Magnum mauser bolt was approximately .75" longer than that found on the standard M98 as was the distance between action screws.

Consequently the bolt from a Standard length Mauser will not work in a Magnum action.
