I must agree with Jaco here. The rifle certainly had a lot of work put into it and it looks almost ornate, but whoever owns it would probably die of a heart attack from the fear of marking it while out hunting dangerous game and not from the quarry itself.

My friend John who signs in as MacNaughton on these forums had an incredibly beautiful SxS MAcNaughton bar in wood shotgun that he sold because he could not take the gun out hunting. It was so pretty after 100 years that he was always worried about something going wrong. I must say that he is a very wise man!

To my slim wallet and my eyes, this gun is something that I would not consider even if I won the Lotto. Beautiful, but not for someone who likes shooting and hunting with guns, not merely admiring them in a cabinet or on a rack.
