Just taken the .404 to the range for its first test shoot. It wasn't very technical and I just used a pile of tyres for a rest and knelt to shoot. I tried a variety of loads and the best proved to be 75 grains of S365.

Shot at 30 yards over open sights set to a 6 o clock hold and the rifle grouped to 3/4 of an inch. I reckon by the time I get the scope fitted, it should more or less cloverleaf at 100 yards........ I'm happy with that.

I didn't have time to order GS Custom bullets so just loaded a few Sabi mono and Woodleigh softs. - I'll get the GS Custom FNMS sorted out when I get home from Tanzania......
