I realise that most safari companies usually just offer fairly basic rifles as loaners - but I've always believed that if a client is paying for an expensive hunt, he has every right to a decent quality rifle if he needs to borrow one. - Add on the fact that I just like good quality anything....... especially regarding rifles and fishing tackle. As far as I'm concerned, there's nothing worse than having to use something cheap and nasty in these fields.

As to cost, I actually did a PX with my Blaser R93 30.06, so I can't really give you accurate figures...... I believe that Sabi sell this kind of thing at around R25000 - R3000 - but I'm not really sure. Of course, the price will partly depend on the quality of wood chosen. Both of the rifles shown had middle of the range stock blanks.
