I am fortunate enough to own a 9.3 x 62 with classic hogsback stock, german open sights, claw mounts, old 4 power scope etc. I believe that it may have been restored by John Saunders in Victoria Australia, however the serial no's in the book of the Mauser match up with the year 1905 which is when the cartridge was conceived I believe. The original trigger has been replaced by a canjar, but the safety is the original wing type. It is magnificent, kills buffalo and I love it. cheers |
