My pleasure. Yes, I love the traditional Mauser safety - my rifle has the original one that it came with and since I don't use those newfangled things called scopes, it works beautifully for me.

Yes, of course, iron sights are a fine thing to have even when a rifle is mounted with a scope in my opinion.

I like the ultra slim look of the Kessler rifles and they must be very light in weight despite having a blued steel and wood construction. I doubt that I'll ever be able to afford to buy one but would like to someday replicate the stock shape on a more pedestrian rifle.
