The earlier Parker Hale rifles were built on military 98's.
I have owned two of these, a "Safari" in 30-06, and a "Safari Deluxe" in .243.
Both featured military thumb slot actions and cocking piece safeties.
They were good rifles.
Later models used commercial actions.
