It is probably obvious but the bolt in the white is the one my friend Mark made to replace the missing bolt from the K Mauser he bought earlier this year from auction. The blued on is the original bolt he has from his other K Mauser rifle. I think he did a pretty good job of matching the the unique shape of the handle. I now understand when he returns from his winter vacation in the spring he will decide what to do with the rest of the project.
As to your question, lancaster, concerning magnum bolt I would imagine it depends on where the differences actually are. And are there actually any differences at all in the first place? I don't know the answer to that question maybe you know or someone else may know.
