Re: The 10.75x68 and it's use in Australia? Or elsewhere?

It would actually be a very good cartridge especially with modern bullets. Apart from really big beasts such as Elephant it would take most others quite nicely.

Which is the information I'm looking for. Has anyone, or know of anyone using one for say water buffalo. And the results.

I've no real doubts a 350 gr well constructed bullet will work, most of the time. Looking for real life examples.

Also I wonder how a 400 gr bullet would go, and what speed in a 10.75x68?

A rifle like that Browning is worth about $4k and would be a nice rifle at that price.

Yes.

Old codgers like us, remember these sorts of rifles being bought for say $1,100, not that many years ago.

I reckon such a rifle and scope would sell for US$700 to between $1000 and $1500 in Germany.

The main drag for us is the cost of importing and freight to Australia,

I wonder how many of these 10.75x68s are rechambered to .404?
