Didn't France have a ruling no military calibres, hence being made after the war & rechambered in 7x64mm.
Must have been a safe queen, in pristine condition!
I bet as few of us including MrD would love this one to play with this one - brilliant cartridge but hampered by such a short barrel!
Used for follow up work in heavy forest areas?
