For $5.00, guests there, mothers, fathers and kids & young adults as well as old, all non-shooters, for each $5.00 of tickets, get to fire 5 rounds from a gun, ranging from shotguns on the trap range, to handguns in the handgun shed, small bore RF silhouette on that range and rifles on the rifle range.
I had a 12 year old kid and his 13 year old sister who had never fired a .22LR, let alone a CF rifle ask to shoot the little gun.
They shot my CZ .22 Hornet, with 40gr. HP's at 3,340fps.
With a wee bit of instruction, the young lad hit a 3" x 4" steel plate at 220 meters or 240.6 yards. Yes, they used a bench rest. The lad hit that little plate 5 for 5. His sister hit it 4 out of 5. Their father hit it 3 times, "I know how to shoot". He had listened to the kid's instruction. The mother didn't want to shoot.
