When I had the BRNO.358 Norma Mag., I absolutely loved the 280gr. Hornady RN. It was accurate and at 2,700fps smacked pretty hard. I only show coyotes with them a bunch and the bullet just holed 'em end wise or sidewise, didn't matter. Minimal expansion, just as expected.
Hornady discontinued that bullet shortly after that & I found the 250 Speer Hot Core Spitzer thought it was not only a good game bullet, but a match accurate bullet as well.
In the 80's and .90's a P.G. co-worker buddy of mine liked it on moose from his .35 Whelen, started at 2,450fps. End to end from frontally. He said they'd just brace their front feet and refuse to take a step, then either pitch over dead or just collapse straight down. Incidentally they did the same with a 265gr. Hornady from his .444 Marlin, 2,240fps.
