think about this its more realistic for a firm the size of Schüler/Suhl to look now only on the rifles SN 26190 made in june 1934 to 28236 made in december 1943. Schüler was not a big gun factory so a little bit over 2000 guns in 9 years would be right in my opinion. this makes 220 guns a year and this is a lot. you find different schüler guns on the market but its not they are behind every corner. in the 220 guns a year there may have been other things in this numbers like the Scheintodpistole. I search about Dreyse and this was a real factory and around 1880 they make 1000 guns a year. The Peterlongo rifle with the 11xxx SN have a Ferlach proof. it could be that this a Peterlongo SN maybe because Pertlongo only get the parts from Suhl and screw it together for whatever import regulations and to save some customs payment. well, I have no doubt that this rifle was made in Suhl, everything speaks for this. but I think if it was build together in Suhl finally it have to get a proof there. |
