I've never shot a pump action rifle. But still have a pump action shotgun. I gave up on it for sporting shooting when I could see three or more wads flying in the air and the pigeon still flying away. Hit more with my s by s. The pump action could be shot very fast.
I feel the pumping action puts one off target a bit for a rifle. Having not used one? What do I know?
I shoot my BLR lever action in .308. At one shoot, someone asked, "who is using a semi auto?" Shooting off hand at a deer target at 220 metres. All in the chest.
