well, this is not realy my field of interest and its 25 years after but iirc, they were making a special edition of "mauser big game rifles" because of the 100 year mauser 98 jubilee. this could be one of them but I can't remember how they look.
what I heard sometimes was that this rifles were not realy make by the mauser factory but some of the guys who were big in making mauser action hunting rifles - maybe Prechtl?
