As you ask: A run of the mill Mauser Ms 420 Target/Sporter, 2nd series. Probably made 1929 – early 1930. BTW, “459” was the old gauge number for .22 barrels, out of use elsewhere since 1912. For reasons unknown Mauser marked these gauge numbers on their barrels until WW2. The polish and blueing of the metal parts looks too good to be true, as does the wood. The buttstock lacks the usual stamped round Mauser mark. Imho the rifle was completely refinished. Asking price and estimate are simply out of the stratosphere. The rifle would still be grossly overpriced if you cut a 0 from the numbers.
