Nice thing! Detail of the pistol-grip, wrist and nose of the comb are to my eye quintessential Westley Richards. Love it! Personally I like shadow-line pancake cheek-pieces, but I would have deduced from my own experience admiring Brit bolt-rifles that Westley Richards made a lot less with than without. ...and I'm glad it doesn't have side-panels, not to my personal taste. Aren't we lucky that sportsmen of the "golden age" had varied taste in firearm design, so that we can enjoy a wide variety of vintage firearms today! Having "new" rifles made to popular vintage designs is simply a testament to the rarity and monetary value of surviving examples in VGC condition. Aren't we lucky that we can do this too! |
