Out of the barrels he mentions from memory includes: 6.5x55, .243, .308, .30-06, 8x57, .270, 9.3x62 all in 22 inches 7mm Rem Mag, .300 Win Mag, .375 H&H Mag 25.5 inch barrels. Interesting to see the good old standard cartridge choices. None of the extra special wannabe cartridges the ammo and gun makers have ad nauseum tried to foist on the market over the decades. Alas no 7x57! I'd love a 9.3 and a .375 Mag barrel. Very similar. But having a barrel means one can play with it, no need for a whole extra rifle. Mounts and scopes of course need also to be sourced. I think it was £1,050 per barrel. If they made 6.5x55 not only in 22" butv25.5" I'd have a look to see if one could becrechambered to 6.5x68. Assuming twist, chamber and rechsmbering could be considered to be aorkable. $$$? Always a problem. ![]() Must have a look at the Mauser website. |
