Yes weight is really only important in some situations, I actually find a nicely balanced heavy gun better and more, accurate to shoot offhand then lighter guns. But for most or pretty much all of my hunting being a meat hunter my gun is carried a lot more then its shot and then I like to pack it up and stuff it in the pack for the pack out. But if I was doing more vehicle based shooting or safari type hunting then a gun like that especially in a large magnum I'd be glad for the weight. But then again looking at how nice that gun is I'd probably go on a drastic diet and hit the gym again just so I could carry it more often. A gun like that regardless of weight would be a joy to hunt with. |
