rifle get a scope whats not so easy because of the rear sight. after study different options I decided a side mount would be best.

have to say before in 2005 I order two EAW side mounts for a little bit over 200 euro each.
it looks like this and you get it for M 98 , M 96 and so on

its hard to find an actual price but they are sold for over 500 euro now, thats not bad!

Frankonia in germany had here an offer from the last year, the M 96 version for 489 euro.
thats more the rifle cost me but this is not the price anymore for the M 98 version. I got a message saying 520 euro in 2022.

last days there was a italian carcano carbine with this side mount and a scope on egun starting with 1 euro. when I think about it that the scope mount would be worth more than the rest someone had the same idea and make the deal.

than my gunmaker told me there is a repro side mount, the copy of the german WW 2 short side mount for under 200 euro on the market, this one here

I look on the websites of military rifle dealer and there it was for 196 euro.
don't know where it is made but the quality seems good, it have a snug fit.
