Perhaps that's the reason (many/most/all?) were barreled-up with a .318 bore through the 1920s, rather than the .323 bore, even though throated for the later spitzer cartridge. ...or was it only the Type A that was restricted, perhaps? Must buy Speed's book, but its become very expensive these last few years! |
