Butit the ,303 is definitely not a usual chambering in a Mauser98 and more than only an unusual original magazine.

Thanks. You must have been surprised to see it pop up. Interesting to see how some firearms travel from hand to hand over time.

I like the idea of putting a a small scroll in the butt under the butt plate giving tius history and previous owners For fixed recoil pads not as useful now.

I once found my Grandfather's Firearms Licence in the butt in a shotgun he owned.
