YES $400 is high, especially since its not complete. It would already be mine if it was $300 or even $400 if he paid for the parts to restore it. The owner is a bit peculiar and he got the guns from his father's estate. He doesnt have a clue; but worst "thinks he does"...

Its been sitting there for about 5 months and I have to look at it everyday and picture what Id do with it. FMJ and Soft point ammo is available still relatively cheap (because its not a popular round). I figure if I bought the rifle, Id buy 2000 rounds and my kids would be shooting it when Im dust.

I love project guns. It lets me design it for me and anticipate it while Im waiting for the gunsmith work. For this one, I can shoot it while Im waiting for the butterknife handle to be out on the spare bolt. Im still not sure about the scope part
