I don't have to be sold on the ZG-47. I own several of them. I like everything about them except for that safety. It works perfectly except for one little problem. The safety is "ON" in the forward position and "OFF" in the rear position, exactly the opposite of every other rifle or shotgun I have owned, except for my other BRNO's. My solution, which I don't much care for, is to install a Model 70 Winchester type bolt shroud and three position safety. I would rather keep the original one, if someone could only come up with a way of reversing the positions.
