Not only can the ZG47 be dismantled in the same way as the Mauser 98, but the majority of the components are interchangeable. However, the assembly screws are not threaded to the Whitworth standard but in metric ISO and unlike on the Oberndorf productions the magazine is a two parts affair. The original finishes are slightly coarse and the whole requires a lot of attention to achieve the standard we are used to. We can easily consider the addition of a small peep sight in the rear square bridge but, as I specify in the description, we meet the customer's requirements.
