My Springer, which is very similar to that one, was made for Consul Weinberg - I haven't much information on him.
Mine is an 8X57 but was originally a 10.75 of one sort or another.

pjaln, you will be amazed at the quality of that rifle. They have a vault like sound on closing that I haven't heard from any other double. Absolutely beautiful!
