I always though the Brevex was a Magnum action only.....obviously not.

Yes, I too was surprised to see a Brevex action on a case as small as the 257 Weatherby Mag. A standard long action would have worked just fine.

By the way .... I have a Brevex Mauser in 475 A&M Magnum with the former owner's initials JDL engraved on it. Any relationship to you?
