I found an incredible WC Scott Mauser with quarter rib, three leaf island site, Bolt peep, banded front on a single square bridge action. Its never been messed with!

It has the follow proofs ( I think it may be a .300H&H?):

".30H 2.785"
Dupont 50-220 bullet

To me that sounds like they are saying ".300 H&H, 2.850 Case length, 50grn cordite, 220grn bullet" which is .300 right on the money.
