First antelope buck down for 2018. Not big, but it was a fun stalk. He's laying in a gully when I took this picture. 177 yards through the neck. He stuck his head up and saw me before I could get closer, but I had a solid position so I took the shot. 160 grain Sierra Round nose. The bullet looks as if it came apart. One exit hole just a few inches in front of the entry, showing the "blast" turned 90 degrees. The bullet hit the front of the neck bone and dropped him instantly. The other side has a hold about the size of a 50 cent piece, and about 1" away is another hole that looks like a 9MM pistol exit. Sierras do weird things sometimes. So now I'll have to use the Husky on some other animal. I still have more tags to fill. ![]() ![]() |
