Oh, Don't get me wrong..its a nice rifle..and think it is still a good deal..but your question was "is it worth double the price?" not sure I can answer that for you..

The thing I don't like about the Kimber or Winchester is how thick they are at the fore end.. I have larger hands but still prefer it not as hefty in that area..like the feel of a Dakota that way..more svelte in that area..

My friend bought his used on-line no less... what are they asking for the one you are looking at?? this time of year you should be able to deal and whittle down that price a bit..IMHO..
