Love these old Stoeger catalogue pages.

In the mid 70's I worked a summer job at a dept store with a gun department. The 7mm Rem mag, Browning BAR, S&W 29 and Remington 700 were all the rage at the time, but there was an old box of .300 H&H ammo on the shelf. I'd pull a cartridge out of that box and admire it just about every day. Never did sell it. Nowadays I'm sure you can find a good selection of .300 H&H at any Cabelas but in those days there was very little interest.
