Per usinflationcalculator.com the 1939 list price of $167.50 (USD) for a 6.5X54 Mauser stutzen would be equivalent to $2972.45 in late 2017 dollars. That was $42.50 ($754.20 in 2017) more than a 604K.
My M1910 Mannlicher Schoenauer takedown with flip up tang sight would have cost fifty cents less!
