Has anyone encountered an original WJ Jeffery built on the Enfield action? I'm just wondering how these compare to the original Jeffery rifles built on Mauser actions in terms of smoothness and balance. My understanding is Jeffery built the .404 initially on standard length Mauser actions, then magnum actions, then switched to the Enfield between the wars. I'd appreciate any insight on this, and especially photos.
