Claydog, if ever you need a "pesky scope" because like me your eyesight decides to get a bit pesky, then this is one way of doing it with only three drilled and tapped holes required. Keeps the original bolt configuration, retains a good open action area for easy loading and still allows perfect use of the open sights when the scope is removed. I did mine years ago originally for a reflex sight and then replaced with the little Leupold. A good compromise for deteriorating eye sight without radically changing the originality of the rifle. |
