Thanks TJ. I am trying to figure out if I can neck down .35 Whelen brass to make 8x64s. The 8x64 case is a little longer and has a shorter neck than the '06 and the rim to shoulder length that is vital for proper head space is also longer. I like the BRNO ZG47. It is an interesting variation of the 98. I already had one in .30-06. A 21.6" barrelled gun with vapor blast receiver, no cheekpiece or pistol grip cap but in near mint condition. This one.
Check the overall lengths in case you have to trim them, but yes - neck the .35's down, creating a false shoulder, until they chamber. that will take care of the headspace. If you make it right for the first firing & never push them back again, you'll never have a case separation.
Any 8mm/06 data should be usable, at least as a start. If you don't have any - mail or pm me. e-mail is in my profile.
