In the thread "Mauser Rifles at Auctions", Lancaster posted photos of a Jap Arisaka Type 30 sporter built by Bieber/Kronach. That rifle is not half bad.

That got me to thinking: Is it possible to build a nice sporter using a Type 38 or Type 99 action? If a decent rifle can be built on a Mosin Nagant action, then an Arisaka should be feasible. Something like a Type A Mauser, or a Westley Richards maybe????

I know it would be a challenge, but if there are any good examples out there, lets see them.
