Re: mauser models?

The A is patterned after British rifles. Has horn fore end tip, 1 fixed and 4 folding blade express rear sight. Round barrel and banded front sight.Hinged floorplate with in bow release. Drop box on long (magnum) action.
The B may have a round or half octagonal/half round barrel with a solid top rib. The front sight is a sweated on ramp on the round barrel, integral with the rib on half hex barrel. The rear sight may be a tangent sight or a fixed blade with one folding leaf in front and one leaf behind.Semi Schnabel fore end tip. Pressed steel grip cap. Shotgun style trigger guard with single or double set triggers, or hinged floorplate with in bow release.
The C is the least desirable and often has the stepped, military type barrel and a rounded pistol grip(no cap).
